KachariyThe letting go.
Before anything can arrive, something has to leave. The noise, the pace, the version of you that is always reachable. You set it down, and the body remembers how to be still.
A private retreat in the Sacred Valley of Peru
You come to the mountains to put something down.
The name is Quechua, the language of the Andes. It is also the whole idea. You come to release what you carry, and to meet what is left when the noise is gone.
The program
01
Before anything can arrive, something has to leave. The noise, the pace, the version of you that is always reachable. You set it down, and the body remembers how to be still.
02
In the quiet, you meet what was underneath. The land, the people who have always lived with it, and the part of yourself that had no room to speak.
03
What remains is clear. You stand before something far older than your worries, and you know what is yours to carry home and what is not.
What makes it different
Disconnection here is not a suggestion. For a while the world can wait, and it does.
A small group, never mixed with other guests. The fire and the silence are yours.
No substances and no shortcuts. Stillness, fire, walking and the mountains are enough.
The mountains set the pace. We follow.
It begins before you arrive and it does not end when you leave.
Hosted by someone who lives in Peru, alongside people who have always known this valley.
How it unfolds
You come down into the valley and leave the signal behind.
The days lose their edges. Rest, breath, movement, and a fire at night.
Silence, and the walk that goes with it. The mountain does most of the talking.
First light on old stone. A morning you will not need a photograph to remember.
A last circle, and the way home. Lighter than you came.
The place
A private house in Urubamba, in the heart of the Sacred Valley, chosen for each gathering. Mountains all around, and a fire at night.
And one morning at Machu Picchu, before the day has started and before anyone else has arrived.

There was a time when the weight of everyday work made something in me short circuit. I felt I had lost the connection with myself. It was never lost. I had only abandoned the paths that lead back to it. It was in Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley, that I found myself again.
Willka Kachariy is how I bring others to that same place. It is an exclusive retreat for people who give a great deal of themselves to their work and need to disconnect, and reconnect with who they are, so they can keep giving their best to their dreams and their families.
From the moment you land until the moment you leave, there is nothing to plan, book or decide. Where you sleep, what you eat, how you move and who walks beside you are all arranged, quietly, so your attention can go somewhere else.
What you arrange
By invitation
A few places. One gathering at a time. Tell us a little about yourself and we will be in touch.
